Works-in-Kind
With the approval of the Minister for Planning, the dedication of land or construction of capital works or other services which will provide a material public benefit may be accepted in lieu of a monetary Special Infrastructure Contribution.
Such an arrangement will be at the sole discretion of the Minister and will be agreed only after consultation with the relevant State agency (for example, the RTA for major roads under their control).
The value of any works-in-kind will be agreed between the NSW Government and the developer. Generally, it is expected the amount of any credit for works-in-kind will be equal to the attributable cost of the works.
NewsOran Park $21 million Works-in-Kind Agreement
The Growth Centres Commission negotiated agreements with Landcom which will see the funding for two stages of the Oran Park Link Road paid for upfront by the developer.
This is the first works-in-kind agreement in the Growth Centres, and will allow early building of this key regional road that will help to open up the Oran Park Precinct for development.
